The event is being held by he B.C... Paint = Care Association (PCA), with involvement from 55 paint companies that participate in a government-approved paint stewardship program. Consumers and contrac- tors may drop off latex and oil-based paints, shellacs and stains on Aug. 25 between 9 am. and 3 pam. at the Lonsdale Recreation Centre, 2300 Lonsdale Ave.. North Vancouver, in the northwest corner of the parking lot. There is a limit of 10° paint cans per vehicle. Any reusable paint collect- ed will be set aside and offered free to the public on a first come, first served basis. The PCA has established IS permanent paint collection depots in the Lower Mainland and plans te open a paint col- lection facility on the North Shore this vear. Until a suit- able site is established, monthly one-day collection and exchange events will be held on the North Shore.
