The registration period ends April 30, 1988. Suites nat regis- tered will be dealt with as an in- fraction of the zoning bytaw on receipt of complaint. Suite owner- ship changes made after June 30, 1993 must be eliminated. All other suites to be phased out by June 30, 1995. In a September challenge by district, resident Ron Gamble, a B.C. Supreme Court decision upheld ‘the municipality's conten- tion that second suites are illegal in single-family zoned homes, The following weck, in a bylaw challenge by North Vancouver barrister Peter Faminow, the court struck down the inlaw category of suites proposed by the district as a legitimate second suite usage. The district is appealing the decision.
