require special skills, while orhers
may provide on-the-job training.

The following are a few of the
ophions available at the North
Shore Information and Volunteet
Centre.

ADULT required to work one-

home for mentally handicapped
adults. who has completed @ career
awareness course and needs a
friend to help her with her job
search. You should be ible to
commit two to tour hours per
week at vour convenience.

Dance the
summer away

TWO SUMMER dance programs

by North Vancouver-based
choreographer Anna Wyman are
being offered this summer and reg-
istration for a host of classes is
now open.

The Anna Wyman Adult Dance
Program runs July 6 to August 14,
and the two-month program offers
classes from ballet to jazz to con-
temporary dance.

The Anna Wyman Summer
School of Dance Arts runs from
August 10 to 28 with the award-
winning choreographer offering
‘improvisation and composition
classes.

The school’s resident instructors
will be offering the intensive
three-week program featuring
ballet, contemporary and jazz
dancing at various levels.

Learn Tai Chi

TAL CHI classes for adults and
seniors are being offered this
summer at North Shore Neigh-
bourhood House. .

This gentle Chinese art em-
phasizes relaxation, stretching,
balancing and centring, and assists
participants in developing a sense
of physical and mental well-being.
The course is taught by Lynne
Cove.

Classes will be held on Mondays
and Fridays from 11 a.m. to noon.
The fee is $12 for the eight-week
program, which begins July 6.
