8 p.m. at St. David’s United
Church, 1525 Taylor Way, West
Vancouver.

ELEMENTARY “SCHOOL-AGE
children can join in summer fun by
signing up for the Time Travelers
Reading Club at West Vancouver
Memorial Library.

The free program runs from Ju-
ly 3 to August 19.

Librarian Cate . McNeely said,
“‘The program aims to encourage
reading for fun and to maintain
reading skills during the summer
months. Studies have shown that
library reading programs are
helpful in preventing loss of
ceading skills during summer vaca-
tion.”

Special prizes will be awarded
and games, author visits and other
special events are scheduled
throughout the summer.

Last summer over 250 children
joined the library's reading club.
