CAPILANO COLLEGE will

be holding three events in con- -

nection with the anniversary of
the Dec. 6, 1989 massacre of
14 women at Montreal’ s Ecole
Polytechnic.

On Thursday, Nov. 30, Suzanne

LePlante Edward, mother of one of
the murdered students, Anne-Marie
Edward, will present a slide show

entitled Puuing a. Face on the

Victims.

The presentation takes place at
12:30 p.m. in M building on the
north campus, room 101.

“Reel Change”, the Women's
Monument Filmathon, will be an
inspiring and provocative day of
films, videos and speakers address-
ing the issue of. women and vio-
tence on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 9
am. to 5 p.m: at Vancouver's
Pacific Cinemateque (1131 Howe
St).

The filmathon is the major:

fundraiser for the Women’s
Monument. dedicated to all women
who have. been murdered. The
national memorial will be located in
Vancouver's Thornton Park.

A memorial service will be held

at Capilano College on Wednesday, -

Dec. 6 at 12:30 outside the cafeteria
on the north campus. There will be
a wreath laying and brief remarks. .
