For $30, artists may rent display tables from which they can sell their work for four weekends beginning Dec. 5. The arts council board tecently approved $5,000 towards the program. **We want to see how far $5,000 will go in accessing space,’’ said Oostindie. ““We’ve heard from many ar- tists who are renovating dance studios and looking for new homes. All of these people need facilities. There are many empty warehouses in North Vancouver that could be used as studios.”’ He added that his group has met with the North Shore Arts Commission and that it plans to make a presentation to both North Vancouver councils in the mew year in order to clarity the role of the arts council and the acts commission.
