Nigeria and Canada as a singer
and pianist, has written books and
plays, including In The Blood.
taught English and directed com-
munity TV.

And this month, he’s exhibiting
a collection or paintings at the
West Vancouver Memorial
Library.

The subjects of Watts’ water-
colors and oils include landscapes,
seascapes. still lifes and portraits,
much of it inspired by his travels
throughout the San Juan Islands,
San Miguel Allende, Mexico and
the West Coast.

His own studio looks out onto
Burrard Inlet. ‘Living close 10 the
ocean, | am intrigued with its con-
stantly changing moods and col-
oars,”’ says Watts. -

The West Vancouver exhibit is
his seccnd one-man show this
spring.

The idea is to allaw citizens to
view the creative process from
start to tinish. Once the art work
is complete, it will be auctioned

the Sik Purse. Entrants should
include a brief, two-line bivgra-
phy. Application deadline is July
10.
