West Vancouver Police said the 73-year-old man was travelling on Bellevue Avenue at approximately 7:30 p.m. when he made a wide, sweeping turn north on to 22nd Street. As he was making the turn, the driver momentarily took his eyes off the road while changing stations ow his car radio. While not looking where he was going, the driver ran into a parked steamroller. Police report the driver was not injured. His 1979 Cadiilac sus- tained approximately $1,000 damage. The steamrotler was unscathed by the accident. lilegal suite case trial set A JAN. 6 trial date has been set in North Vancouver provincial court for a North Vancouver City man charged with 12 bylaw in- fractions stemming from the alleged rental of seven legal suites in acity apartment building. Lloyd Bruce English faces the charges following a year’s in- vestigation by city officials. The charges were laid in counection with seven suites allegedly rented from Feb. 22 to June 17 in an apartment that allegedly has 18 suites, but ts only Hcensed for 11. When Collins dectired Wednesday (to run for the Reform Party after Preston Manning refused to sign the columnist’s. nomination papers, the Rhinos attempted to convince Collins to run for the party once again. But Collins declined. Paul Anthon Corrigan was originally charged in connection with a Jan. 28 incident. In addition to the jail sentence and fine, Corrigan was prohibited from driving for another rine months.
