WEST VANCOUVER RESIDENTS Cap College directors named A NEW chairman and vice-chairman have been elected to the Capilano Col- lege board of directors. West Vancouver’s Norris Martin is the board’s new chairman, and takes over from Hilda Rizun, who has been reappointed to the British Columbia Institute of Techno- Jogy’s board. The boa.d’s new vice-president is Graham Crockart, also of West Vancouver. In addition to the June 28 elec- tion of a new executive, the nine- member college board also has four new appointees: Nancy Farley and Allen Lacroix, both of West Vancouver, Bob McMillin of Van- couver and Corey Coyle of Bur- naby. All four, appointed by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Job Training, will serve one- year terms. Martin's term will end in May 1989, while Crockart’s will expire May 1990. Rizun, who has been on the Capilano College board since March 1975, serving as its chair- man for seven years and its vice- chairman for five, said she had ex- tremely mixed feelings about her reappointment to BCIT. “Pm still going through terrible withdrawal,’’ she said Monday. Rizun said the biggest change for her to come to grips with would be movitig to a primarily provincial ‘institution from a community college with strong community ties. “And I also have biases about Capilano College,’’ she said. ‘‘It’s a gocd institution...and it keeps getting better all the time.” Rizun said the college’s initiative in taking an active role in pro- SUMMER FUN PROGRAMS moting and documenting the North Shore economic landscape was outstanding.
