NORTH SHORE agencies require
people with a wide variety of skills.
Whether you are a computer pro-
grammer or a retired musician,
someone needs you.

The following are a few ef the
options available to North Shore
volunteers.

MUSIC APPRECIATION group
discussion leader is required for a
West Vancouver care facility. You
should love music and be comfor-
table with older adults. Group
meeting time will be established at
the volunteer’s convenience. Ori-
entation provided.

PEER COUNSELLORS are need-
ed to work with seniors on the
North Shore. This organization is
looking for retired business and
professional people to assist older
adults with a variety of legal issues
including consumer and small
claims court, landlord tenant
disputes and financial exploitation.
fs NEWSLETTER WRITER will
have an opportunity to learn about
the activities of a North Shore
agency and write a variety of arti-
cles. Add to your portfolio.

Do you have CATERING EXPE-
RIENCE? A North Vancouver
organization would like you to
assist with a food service program.
Emotionally-handicapped people
of all ages are learning the catering
trade. They are able to function
well and are re-entering the com-
munity. You should be available
Friday mornings.

WORD PROCESSING EXPERT
required for a non-profit agency.
You should he able to work well
on a word processor and be able to
train office staff. Some flexibility
regarding time cousmitment.
GOLF COMPANION needed for
a female hospital patient in her
early 60s awaiting discharge. If
you enjoy golf, have your own car
and are able to understand the
problems of others, please give
some of your time.

CLERICAL ASSISTANCE is re-
quired by a major health care
organization. Help with registra-
tions for a loan cupboard. You
should be available 10 a.m. to
noon, every Friday.

A BABY CLINIC needs assistants.
If you are comfortable in dealing
with the public, understand the
concept of confidentiality and
possess a good command of the
English language, we have a vol-
unteer job for you. Clinics will be
held on Wednesday afternoons in
the Capilano Mall.

A CLERICAL ASSISTANT is re-
quired to help with the organizing
of office records for a health
organization. You must be
available to work in North Van-
couver on Monday or Tuesday
afternoons.
