FAMILY PET KILLED
Canine suspects sought

: : JABBIN was out for a Friday evening stroll along
mA 14th Street when he was set upon and murdered

by two vicious assailants.

The five and a half year
old West Highland Terrier
was attacked and killed Fri-
day night by a bull dog and
another dog at 10 p.m.

Jabbin’s owner Robert
Sinclair, 14, is now combing
the neighborhood, searching
for the culprits. If Sinclair

the SPCA.

While he didn't see the in-
cident, his’ friend did and
identified the assailant as a

bull dog through use of a
dog book.

Robert’s mother Sandra
Sinclair is concerned the dog
may have been a Pit Bull
Terrier which is bred for its
fighting abilities and have
been involved in a number
of recent dog attacks.

She worries that if these
dogs can kill a small dog like

Jabbin, then they might in-

jure a child.
She contacted the SPCA

: Warranty.

but they told her they only
patrol during the day. And
without the dog owner's ad-
dress they can do nothing.

“T think the owner was
negligent in letting that
animal out,'’ said Sandra.
“1 would like to alert other
small dog owners to this
problem.”’

However, she admitted
she should not have fet Jab-
bin out on his own either.
