British Columbia players on
the 24 man Canadian Soccer
Association National Youth
Team, now playing for the
North and Central America
and Caribbean junior
championships.

The Canadian team has
already won its first game, 1-
0 over Puerto Rico. The
team, coached by Barrie
Clarke of Sardis, plays
games against Guatemala,
Trinidad-Tobago

and
Jamaica throughout the
week.
Nineteen teams are

playing in the tournament.
Two teams will go on to the
World Youth Cup, to be held
next summer in Australia.

Canada’s goal against
Peurto Rico was scored by
Mike Zacharuk of Burnaby
Western.
