The prestigious snow- boarding event gets under way Dee. 3-5 in Breckenridge, Colo. and comes to North Vancouver for the first time Jan, 13-16. The final stop is Sicrra-at- Tahoe, Calif. Feb. 24-27. Triple Crown includes the International Snowboarding Federation world series halfpipe, snow- board cross and big air events. “We're very excited to bring the Vans Triple Crown of — Snowboarding to Vancouver where we also hold our Vans Triple Crown of skateboarding each spring,” said Vans? vice-presi- dent of promotions Steve Van Doren, “Vancouver is a lead- ing board sports and lifestyle city for snowboarding and skateboarding.” The series features $375,000 US in prize moncy and is televised via ESPN.
