The #255 Cedardale/Park Royal was introduced on o temporary
& month trial basis in May 1996 subject to minimum ridership levels
being achieved. The trial period was then extended into the Fall/
Winter period.

In order to make a recommendation to the Vancouver Regional
Transit Commission to either continue or discontinue the service, rider-
ship levels were monitored during the trial period. Results of route-eval-
uation indicated that minimum levels of ridership were not achieved
and, as o result, the #255 route will be discontinued after Saturday,
March 1, 1997.

As an alternative customers can board the #239 service to Park
Royal or Lonsdale Quay at Capilano ond Marine or board the #246
on Capilano to Vancouver/Highland/Lonsdale Quay/Park Royal.
