PURDY’S CHOCOLATES, with

mint, mocha and raspberry choco-
lates just in time for the
‘Christmas season.

North Vancouver resident Tom
Cianamon, Purdy’s master candy
maker, said it will be hard to eat
just one.

“This new product offers choc-
olate lovers a truly unique taste
sensation. Meltaways are the hot
item in the world of chocolate and
we're pleased to respond to cus-
tomer demand with our version of
this popular piece,” said Cin-
namon.

A big part of the new product's
appeal is an intriguing ‘texture
. which, according to Cinnamea, is
‘quite different from other Purdy’s
chocolate pieces.

He added that when someone
bites into one of the new choco-
lates, they will see and taste the
difference.

‘Cinnemon, whose official title
is director of production opera-
tions, credits the qualities of the
new. chocolates to the product’s
unique recipe, which took literally
hundreds of hours to formulate.

The: new meltaway chocolates
also represent a new packaging di-
rection for Purdy’s.

chocolates, which retail for
$993 95, are packaged. according to
flavor in a 227 gram hexagonal-
shaped box which po pops open on
the top.

‘Each chocolate piece is individ-
ually wrapped in clear cellophane.

SUN LIFE RATE

SUN LIFE Trust Company has
lowered its six-month open mort-
gage rate to 9% from 9.25%,
effective Dec. 17.

MANUFACTURED
HOMES REPORT

B.C CONSUMER Services
Minister Moe Siketa recently
released a report on manufactured
homes in B.C.

**Over 10,000 people live in
manufactured homes communities
across the province. This report
will serve as an important guide
for government in the eventual
drafting of new legislation to
enhance those communities,’’ said
Sihota.

Malahat-Juan de Fuca MLA
Rick Kasper conducted a review
between July and November. The
review included public hearings in
nine communities across B.C.

Sihota said future legislative
changes will be ccordinated with
the ministry of municipal affairs,
recreation and housing, which has
struck a provincial commission to
address housing affordibility.

Among the recommendations
