Shore campaign is a community
project that is unique in Canada.
Based on a study done at the
University of British Columbia, its
goal is to encourage and support
changes in people’s actions, not
just their attitudes, when it comes
to environmental matters.
Currently coordinated by En-
vironment Canada, Going Green
was an initiative of the North
Vancouver District Task Force on
the Environment and has a work-
ing advisory board that includes
represeniation from various sec-
tors of the North Shore communi-

All items have been donated for
the window by Park Royal mer-
chants.

“We're hoping people start to

tions,’’ organizers say. ‘‘The spirit
of the occasion is heightened when
the welfare of the whole world,
not just our litle corner of it, is
taken into account.”
