IHSI to work on
Italian IMAX film

NORTH VANCOUVER’S Inter-
national Hard Suits Inc. (IHSI)
has been commissioned by the
Italian port of Genoa to help
create a $4 million IMAX film
commemorating the city’s 200th
anniversary.

IHSI spokesman Scott Morrison
said two IHSI employees will fly
to Free Port in the Bahamas on
March 6 to begin work on the
film, called The Spirit of
Discovery.

The film, which focuses on The
Age of Discovery, will feature
Christopher Columbus. HSI

employee Bruce Fuoco, garbed in
the futuristic-looking Newtsuit,
will be featured as ‘‘Man in the
*90s.”"

“He'll be filmed zooming
around in an atmospheric diving
suit,”’ said Morrison, who added
that filming is expected to take
five weeks.

International Hard Suits has
worked on film documentaries
and TV shows in the past, in-
cluding the blockbuster The
Abyss. This is the first time the
company has worked with IM-
AX, said Morrison.
