SLIM-FIT pants are
the be-all and end-all
when it comes to this
fall’s fashions.

“If you could add only
one new item to instantly
update your wardrobe this
season, this (slim-fit pants)
would be it,” said Julie
Magner, The Bay’s
Merchandise Manager for
ladies wear. “Pants are a huge
trend this fall, particularly in

fabrics that have stretch.”

And, as usual, there’s a
good reason for this. The slim
cut gives the impression of
long legs and tend to hide
every figure imperfection
regardless of the imperfec-
tion’s degree.

“If you’ve got hips to
hide, wear them with one of
fall’s boxy, long, shirt-shaped
jackets,” adds Magner. “To
conceal thighs, try layering a

~ long tunic sweater or one of

the new tunic-cut blouses

over your pants ior a stream-
=" lined look.”

Of course, if you consider
your figure to be something
to flaunt, try this season’s
new short and shapely jackets.
