Jeffrey Simpson, the
Globe & Mail's boy won-
der, referred to him as an
“odious demagogue.’ There
were cries and lamentations
in “news” reports. “The
renegade Buchanan,” “The
fire-breathing demagogue.”
Newsweek's cover was “The
man who preaches fear.”

I clapped my column-
calloused hands and
cheered.

Buchanan represents the
revolution against political
correctness and domination
of his country by minority
forces. But as the Arizona
contest showed, he'll proba-
bly never make it to the
White House. The New York
Times, big money and white
wimpishness will see to
that.

Anybody but Buchanan.

Louis Farrakhan, the out-
and-out black American
racist gets a better press
than Buchanar. And he is
the nut who claimed that '
white doctors are giving
‘blacks AIDS.

Buchanan is despised by
liberaldom because he
promises to defend —
America’s borders against
the Third World; he also
threatens to cut off foreign
aid and use it at home. (“No
more fifty billion dollar
- bailouts.)

Liberals get the shakes at
the very thought of such |
things.

' Boy Simpson pointed out
with disgust that in New
Hampshire, with its ethnic
homogeneity, Buchanan's
message resonates.

Right. If only we had a
Buchanan! Instead, we have

small government, How bad

Liberals might learn a
thing or two if they tried to
find out why he’s had sub-
stantial support.

For one thing, honest
Americans are tired of
phony conservatives, of
whom George Bush was
one, (“Watch my lips. No
more taxes!’”)

They are also tired of the
colored flood and they sus-
pect that other Republican
candidates are no better
‘than Bush, with all their
talk about “caring” and
“compassion.”

Caring and compassion
have got the U.S. a massive
crime and murder rate and a
general breakdown of tradi-
tional society. Canada is on
the same path. Liberals love
it.

turbation. And she once rec-

condoms.

Attorney General Janet
Reno, another freak, was the
one who ordered the attack
on the Branch Davidians
that led to the deaths of 86
people, many of them chil-
dren.

The lesser American
press (the mainstream press
is shy of mentioning such
stuff) reported after Clinton
took over that blacks make
up 17% of his appoint-
ments, Hispanics 9% and
Jews 24%, even though
those numbers are far in
excess of the relative pro-
portions in the population.
And that pattern has contin-
ued.

Simpson says Buchanan
takes a negative position,
while the traditionai
American position is hope.
But quite a lot of
Americans see Buchanan as
the best hope of all. _

On immigration he has
stated: “If we had to take a
million Zulus in next year,
or a million Englishmen,
and put them in Virginia,
what group would be easier
to assimilate and would
cause less problems?”

That is the kind of ques~
