would be causing this?

A ODOURS FROM WATER, ELECTRICAL

HOT WATER TANK:

‘This is not an uncommon complaint. Usually it
is caused by minerals in the water, possibly well water.
We would recommend that you have a sample of your
water from the tank tested by your local Health Unit.

Also, we would advise you to ensure that the

tank is “bled” once a month. Simply release a pail of

water from the release valve at the bottom of the tank.
This will rid the tank of any sediment which forms
naturally in the bottom of the tank.

You may also want to consider the installation

of a filter system on the tank. These systems can be
purchased at your local building supply stores.
