ing home at approximately 3 p.m., when she noticed a young man
running across the front lawn of her home. She went to the door of
her home and found it wide open with 2 quantity of her property
stacked just inside.

North Vancouver RCMP were alerted and arrived on the scene
four minutes later with a tracking dog. The dog led the officers to a
location where the two young males were already being checked by
another police officer.

2 drug charges

A 21-YEAR-OLD Vancouver man was sentenced Tuesday in North
Vancouver provincial court to three months in jail after he pleaded
guilty to two drug-related charges.

Ronald Guilbeault was originally charged with trafficking in
marijuana and possession of the drug for the purpose of trafficking
ia connection with a Jan. 28 drug seizure

He was charged with additional counts of trafficking and
possession for the purpose of trafficking in connection with &

} March 1 jacident ie in which he sold marijuana to an off-duty under-
cover police officer.

Appearing before Judge J.B. Paradis, Guilbeault pleaded guilty
to the first possession for the purpose of trafficking charge and the
trafficking charge laid against him in connection with the March 1
incident.

He was sentenced to 2 30-day jail term on the first charge and a

| three-month jail term on the second. The terms will be served con-
currently.
' The Crown entered a stay of proceedings in the other charges.

North Van woman

charged with fraud

A 27-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver woman was sentenced March
21 in West Vancouver provincial court to 30 days in jail after she
pleaded guilty to two counts of obtaining goeds under false
pretences.

Susan Dunn was originally charged in connection with Dec. 3,
1988 and Dec. 5, 1988 incidents in which groceries were obtained
from Super Valu ia West Vancouver.

Appearing before Judge R.D. Grandison, Dunn was senicazed to
30 days in jail on each charge.

The jail terms will be served concurrently.

Local RCMP seek
pipe theft info

NORTH VANCOUVER RCMP are investigating the March 22
theft of 4,000 pounds of scrap brass pipe stolen from the 1400-
biock of Crown Street.
The pipe is two to three inches in diameter, and varies in length
| from four to eight feet.
Information regarding this theft may be forwarded to the police
detachment at 985-1311. :
