Winding up summer the Deep Cove wa THERE WAS summer fun for everyone at Deep Cove Days this past Labour Day weekend. Action abounded at the annual canoe race held Sunday (top photo). This year’s winners, Peter and Mike Sjoblom, out- paddled the competi- tion for a sweet victory. For those who prefer their fun on shore, an all-day volleyball game was held (right). It has yet to be determined whether the crowd or the players had a better time. Trying to delay the end of the last summer days is the rock band Borrowed Time. Drummer Dave Taylor (bottom photo) pounds out the beat to a succesful end of the community’s special day.
