Outstanding Dolphins
from the North Shore in-
cluded Wade Flemons (23)
who took a silver in the 100
metre backstroke, came 4th
in the 200 m backstroke, and
7th in the 200 m individual
medley.

Cam Reid (22) who won a
silver in the 400 [.M., took
first place in the consolation
finals for the 200 m
backstroke, and fifth overall
for the 200 m I.M.

Rod Archibald (19) won a
bronze in the 200 I1.M.,
bronze in the 400 I.M.,
fourth in the 400 m freestyle,
and fifth in the 200 m
freestyle.

Five North Shore women
placed strongly for the
Dolphins as well.

Lisa Borsholt (22) won a
gold in the 200 m
breaststroke and a silver in
the 100 m breaststroke.

DOLPHINS won the Canada Cup in their local
waters at Vancouver Aquatic Centre over the
weekend with North Shore swimmers helping

women from the winning

Fiona Waddell (17) who
came eighth in th 200 m
butterfly, second in con-
solation finals tn both 200
1.M. and 400 I.M.

Kristi Blondal (16) also
did well in consolation, with
a sixth place in 200 m
breaststroke and a seventh in
200 1.M.

Kevyn Stafford (19) also
did well in consolations with
a second in 200 butterfly,
fourth in 100 butterfly and
sixth in 400 1.M.

Sara Frisby (14) had con-
solation standings of third in
200 backstroke, fourth in
400 freestyleand eighth in
400 I1.M.

The Canada Cup is one of
the last meets before the
Olympic trials June 16 to 20
in Etobicoke to which many
of the swimmers from the
weekend meet will be going.

Dolphins had a close
victory, with 865 points,
only 12 points ahead of
University of Calgary Swim
club which scored 853.
