Seymour span to open in fal

THE LONG-AWAITED
Seymour crossing is going
ahead at last and will be
ready by this fall.

Construction of the new
bridge across the Seymour

will start shortly following
the award of an $833,319
contract to a Burnaby firm,
it has been announced by
Highways Minister Alex
Fraser and Jack Davis, MLA
for North Vancouver--

Kingston Construction
Ltd. submitted the lowest of
12 tenders for the con-
struction of a three-span
prestressed concrete stringer
structure 65 metres long with
a 17.2 metre wide roadway

The bridge is part of the

new Seymour Parkway road.

Completion is scheduled

for October 31 this year.

Total cost of the bridge,
engineering
supervision and materials,
