There were eight classes in the All-English show, starting with the Hunter over jumps. The star of the jumps was the Shetland pony Duchess, ridden by Jane Hopkinson. She had a little trouble with the 2'6” height, but finally cleared 15 inches handily. Winner in that category for seniors was Suzanne Wiltshire on Thor and for juniors, Karen Garten on London's Calling. High point awards for the day went to Shannon Saunders on A-lad-in-gold in the junior category, Joanne MacDonald on Bint Shabira in the intermediate category, and Linda Mork on Shadowfax for the best senior placing. The next show will be Sunday, May 16, at the Korral. It will be an All Western Show and = spec- tators are welcome. There will be a concession stand. BASEBALL and softball begins for three leagues today, April 25, on the North Shore. The North Shore Softball League, the Mt. Seymour Kinsmen Little League and the West Vancouver Minor Baseball league all begin regular season play. The North Shore Softball League plays at Brooksbank and Norgate Parks. The first games are at 9:30 a.m., with the North Shore’ Chiefs playing Dinos at Brooksbank and Easy Data playing Lynnwood Inn at Norgate. At 11 a.m. at Brooksbank it will the Coach House against Fast Eddie's, and at Norgate Yic’s takes on Little Billy's. The final game of the day sees Lynnwood Blues and The Pro 929-2611 GOLF?
