SAN FRANCISCO (UPD - A baby girl born underwater in a sterilized horsetrough and kept submerged eight minutes was “doing really fine” Tuesday, her father said. “Everything is really fine ith the mother and the baby and the whole family is real happy,” said Bill Rodgers, father of the ninth child delivered in the United States by a controversial bir- thing method pioneered in the Soviet Union. The child is healthy and there have been no com- plications since her birth last month, he said. #301 Ambleside Centre 1497 Marine Drive, West Van. 925-1275 Rodgers and a midwife assisted in the delivery.
