(Terry: Peters photo) By PAT RICH Plummeting enrolment at North Vancouver schools has the district facing the largest drop in student numbers to date. - A report presented to the North Vancouver School Board meeting Tuesday noted that there were 1.106 _ fewer students in the system this September. And Don McEown, the assistant superintendent said the drop may be even larger next year. “It’s the largest decline we've ever had.” said McEown, referring to the latest figures. “We've had a difficult time in terms of total decline.” Figures show total student per cent, leaving the current total enrolment figure at 16,572. McEown noted that “the shift in dropping pf students is moving from secondary to elementary.” At the kindergarten level, 116 fewer students entered the system this fall than at the beginning of last year. This was 25 fewer than estimated.
