Shore rescuers aid Delta search Members of the North and West Vancouver Emergency Program assisted Friday in the search for four children and a man lost in the Burn’s bog area of Dolta. . - “I don’t know why they called us.” Jeff Jefferd, coordinator of the program said. He said the North Shore team was the only rescue group involved in the search which ended carly Saturday when the missing hikers were found by an RCMP officer with a dog. The incident began when | Dean objected to ‘rehiring the City’s lawyers in 1981 because, she said, the City was paying far too much in. legal fees. Thofigh legal fees for Bull, Housser and Tupper are listed at $3,600 a month, or $43,200 annually, Dean: said the city actually paid $91,312.16 in 1980. “We're either paying too much for litigation or using the law firm.as a.crutch,” she said. At one point last year, she said, the City was paying more than twice the com- bined figure of North Vancouver District and West Vancouver were paying combined.
