Our Aquarium since found orphaned In 1974, successfully gave birth to a frolicking healthy pup on Saturday, July 21. Her pregnancy was suspected last May at which time she was moved with a harbour seal companion to the Aquarium’s back research pool in order that she could be carefully watched and have a quiet place to give birth. The Aquarium's staff were delighted to be greeted by a happily swimming pup and a very protective mother on Saturday morning. Sonja has been so protective as a matter-of-fact, that even the Aquarium's vet can't get close enough to the pup to take {ts measurements! Although there is some controversy as to just who the father Is, the pup has been named “Dillinger”, Bullet being the most likely suspect.
