GARDINER - Marjorie. Bom
May 12, 1912 at Leeds, Eng-
land. Passed away peacefully in
her sleep on the evening of Janu-
ary 1, 2000 in West Vancouver.
Predeceased by Robert Forsyth,
her husband of 60 years and her
sister Cynthia Williams. Sho is
Survived by her sister Audrey
Carr of Leeds, England: her lov-
ing children Donald (Ann), Brian
(Lora). and Joy Gardiner; her
grandchildren Megan, James
and Susan Gardiner and step-
randson Paut Kershaw
(Andrea); niece June Worsdale
(Van) of Ontario, nephews Ron
and Stephen Teed, and sister-in-
law, Mary Teed (Don). The eld-
est child of a British W.W.I veter-
an, she came to Canada alone
at the age of 15 to live with rela-
tives in Toronto. After her mar-
fiage in 1937, and the birth of
their first two children, she and
Bob moved to the West Coast in
1946 where he began his rise in
the wortd of chartered accountan-
ey A classic “at home Mom’,
Marjorie nourished arv nurtured
her family through the early lean
years and into prosperity. Al-
ways interested in music, she
teamed to play the piano as an
adult - which increased her ap-

Kiwanis Music Festival - a posi-
tion which tumed into a second
career, lasting until her setire-
ment_as Principal Secretary to
