THE North Vancouver
Christmas Bureau is
looking to the local
business community to
recruit Santa’s Little
Helpers.

The Christmas Bureau is a
division of Family Services of
the North Shore.

Each year, the Christmas
Bureau works together with
its sponsors to make sure
that everyone has a chance to
enjoy the holiday season.

Organizations and_indi-

viduals can help by doing any
or all of the following:

and food certificates.

short of toys so organizers
are strongly requesting that
toys be donated as soon as
possible, preferably this

to the Toy Shop.

Funds not used by the
Christmas Bureau in the cur-
rent year will go to support
programs for families with
limited means who wish to
access services through
Family Services of the North
Shore.

Ask enclosures: Fifty thou-
sand of these donation
request envelopes have been
printed (25,000 are being
distributed by the North
Shore Credit Union to its
customers) and are available
for businesses to pick up and
distribute to employees or
customers.
® Volunteering your time:
Businesses can loan the
Christmas Bureau a staff
member. There is lots to do.

Bureau Needs You to Adopt-A-Family!

The North Vancouver Christmas Bureau i is
looking for families, individuals, community ..
groups, office groups and others to Adopt-A-
Family (or individual) in need this Christmas. .
in 1995, with the support of those who
adopted a family, 938 individuals are matched
with donors who can choose to remain

anonymous as well.

In an effort to provide consistency donors are’.
asked to supply a small gift and a $50.00 .
holiday food certificate redeernable at a North
Shore grocery store for each adopted family
member. This allows the recipients to
accommodate individual dietary needs,

allergies, extra baby foods, etc. Gift

suggestions are provided to make shopping

for your hamper practical and fun.

Donors are asked to bring their finished

hampers to the Lucas Centre, 2132 Hamilton
Street, North Vancouver on December 9 or 10
between 10 am and & pm.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to
share at a very special time of year.

We welcome and encourage you to take
part in this North Shore tradition.
