He was referring to Ross Road school children who spoke to council last year on the need for the lacrosse box space. The children and parent advisory council members told council last year that the school would be losing dedi- cated elementary play space to -a new drop-off and turnaround. But according to Poburko and school parent Kathy Fitch that is no longer the case. Parks staff say there is enough space at the school to accommodate the Parent Advisory Council playground and playing field plans and the lacrosse box. An outdoor lacrosse box, skateboard and basketball facility would be possible at Karen Magnussen Arena at a cost of over $220,000.
