Add shortening and cut in with a pastry knife until parti- cles are the size of rice grains, Add milk all at once and stir vigorously until dough stiff- ens. Turn out on a floured board and knead five or six times before rolling our inte a rectangle approximately 10 x )2 inches. Soread the salmon mixture onto the rofled biscuit dough leaving about two inches of the dough edges bare. Roll the dough and salmon mix- ture up as you would a jelly roll. Wipe the exposed end of the dough with water to ensure a solid join. Place the roll on a cookie sheet, brush lighdy with milk and bake in a 450-degree oven tor 12-15 minutes.
