N. Shore Walkabout set for Sunday

NORTH SHORE residents
are invited to get ‘‘heart
smart’’ by participating in
the North Shore Walkabout
being held on Sunday, Oct.
4.

. Various local agencies are team-
ing up to offer the second annual
North Shore Walkabout, an event
featuring guided walks throughout
North and West Vancouver.

All the walks run from 16 a.m.
to I p.m., are free and range from
heritage -tours of Ambleside,

Carisbrooke or Dundarave to a.

look at the natural history of
Killarney Lake (Bowen Island),
Lynn Canyon or Lighthouse Park.

Participants will also have an
opportunity to explore the issues
associated with future planning in

* the lower Lonsdale area,

Other walks are slated for
Maplewood Flats, Grouse Moun-
tain, Seymour Demonstration
Forest, Hastings or Mosquito
Creek, Cypress Falls and Mount
Seymour.

seniors and all ages in between.
Many people raved over what they
learned from the experienced

municipalities, North Vancouver
Recreation-Commission, BC Parks
and GVRD Parks.
