IN THE first of two back-to-back
games, the North Vancouver
Taylormotive PeeWees AAAs
played a determined Thunderbird
team on Thursday at Kerrisdale
Arena.

Behind the goaltending of Aaron
Mayhew, the North Vancouver
squad led after the first period 1-0
on a goal by Ben Williams.

The opposition held North Van
at bay until late in the third when
Lada Hampeis and Mike Moricz
scored two quick goals to enable
the 3-0 shutout, improving North
Van’s season record to 11-6-1.

On the second road trip ir. ‘as
many nights, North Vancouver
played its nemeses in the Greater

Vancouver Conference, Burnaby
Winter Club. After taking the lead
on a goal by Julien Jorgensen, the
teams then shared goals with
Hampeis and Moricz scoring for
North Van to give them a 3-2 se-
cond period lead.

Trevor Howell opened the third
period with North Van’s fourth
goal and Ryan Russell put the icing
on the cake by outhustling the op-
position, while short handed, to
score an open net goal for a much
deserved 5-2 win that maintains
their first place standing with a
12-6-1 record.

Jeff Loranger was called upon
to make 16 saves in backstopping
the victory.

Ringette Cougars down Poco

IN NORTH West Vancouver
Ringette Association action this
weekend, Time Out Sports Novice
C Cougars defeated Poco 9-8.

The Tween B Eagles were also
on a roll, defeating Langley 7-4,

making their first win of the
