Gas station, store hit by robbers ROBBERS TOOK the money and ran in two separate robberies last week in North Voncouver. Two Caucasian males in their mid to late 20s helc up a male at- tendant at a gas station located on West 3rd Street Nov. 18 at 10:40 p.m. Fhe men said they had a gun, were given an undisclosed amount of cash, and left the scene. Police believe a car was used (to fice the scene. A police dog, brought in to track the suspects, led police east on Keith to the Delbruck Avenue area, where the track was lost. Meanwhile on Nov. 17, a corner grocery store, located on East 3rd Street, was hit by a lone black male in his late teens or early 20s, who held up the storekeeper with a knife. The suspect struck just before 8 p.m. and fled on foot with the foot. Investigation by North Vancouver RCMP continues. Mian jailed for prohibited driving A 20-YEAR-OLD Burnaby man was sentenced to seven days in jaii Nov. 22 in North Vancouver provincial coart. Randall Matthew Hubbs was found guilty of two charges of driving a car while prohibited from coing so by a court order. The two counts are in connection with a July 9 incident when Hubbs was found driving on Arborlyan Drive and at Welch St. and Pemberton Ave. in North Vancouver. Judge J.B. Paradis atso fined Hubbs $150 and suspended his driver's licence for one year. Residents win lottery prizes TWO NORTH Vancouver resi- dents recently won a total of $20,690 on twe lottery tickets.
