two ships - each being the
first built in Canada for
Mexican owners - being
launched simultaneously.

While the 65.5-metre
Coinseco Beta was being
launched at Bel-Air
shipyards, over at Mat-
sumoto Shipyards a 40-metre
firefighting ship was also
being launched.

The vessel, the Pemex
652, is the first of two
aluminum twin-screw diesel

knots, the Pemex 652 has a
firefighting capability of
pumping 25,000 gallons per
minute.

When firefighting. — the
vessel will be covered by a
water spray curtain. All
firefighting monitors have
remote controls.

The ship launched at Bel
Air on the same tide as the

Pemex 652, the tuna purse
seiner Coinseco Alfa, will
also be followed up by a
second vessel, Coinseco
Beta, to be launched in
about four‘months.
