To resolve the puzzle of their ancestors’ genealogy and background they must resort not only to vital statistics records, but use numerous other finding aids. Somewhere, some _ in- formation remains about almost every individual who ever lived during the last 300 years. You may = share the misconception that archives are irrevelant to your daily life. However, many ar- chives provide suitable research services and facilities to make their material available to the public. Their microfilms may be borrowed through the inter-library loan system. The upcoming workshop “Roots - Trace Your Family Tree”, to be given at Carson Graham Secondary’School, October 4, 1980, is set up to readily supply information about the country of your interest. Shore - Available for the first time on the North Shore this fall wil be instruction for the Industrial First Aid cer- uficates at Capilano College. The curriculum for the ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ certificates is laid down by the Workers’ Compensation Board and the Board will also be responsible’ for final examination ands cer- tification. Classes in Industrial First Aid begin the week of September 22 and continue two nights a week for ten weeks. The fee is $150.
