Two hikers stumbled onto
the remains of a human body
while trekking on Black
Mountain in Cypress provin-
cial park on New. Year’s Day
around 2:30 p.m., according
to West Vancouver police. . ~

Found were a skull. a
lower jaw bone, several teeth
and what appears to be a
neck vertebra. Nearby were
shaving cream, deodorants,
a shirt, jacket and a wrisi
watch, police said.

One of the hikers, a West
Vancouver resident, iteie-
phoned police at 5:55 p.m.
after they descended the
mountain. It was too dark to
investigate the remains. The
