NEWS ~ Class of ’78 meets at Argyle 10-year reunion AN AWARD for the person who fost the most hair was among several handed out to graduates of Argyle Secondary at the school’s 10-year reunion Oct. 7, 8 and 9. The class of °78 renewed old friendships, drank wine and danc- _ed Friday night at a wine and cheese party at Argyle Secondary School and on Saturday night at the The Coach House ballroom in North Vancouver. On Sunday they ran races and picnicked .in Ambleside Park. Nikki Kerr, formerly Nikki Robinson, who with the help of a 10-member committee spent nine ‘months organizing the event, hail- ed the reunion as a success. . “All the people I talked to said they had a fabulous’ time. Everyone looked great,”” she said. Master of ceremonies Ken Laidlaw handed out prizes to grads on Saturday night and was “‘right on the mark with everyone,” said Kerr. Classmate Monique Van Oord from Montreal was awarded for coming from the farthest place, and Sharon Carter and Tom Mid- zain for the “two people who changed the most.’” Sandra Gahan and Mark Bartyik garnered “the people who changed the least’’ award. One classmate meanwhile received an award for losing more hair than any of his peers and “took it seally well,’” said Kerr.- Most of the [50 grads who at- tended the three-day event have gone on to pursue various careers in accounting, nursing and music. About one-half of the group have married, and some have children. Kerr said a 20th reunion has not been planned so far, but one grad is compiling an address book and a yearly newsletter so the class of ’78 can keep in touch. i Valley students. play Theatresports ARGYLE AND Sutherland stu- dents recently represented their schools at the first annual North Shore high school Theatresports competition, -at Presentation House.-.
