THE North Shore Menopause Information
Centre (NSMIC) is holding its fourth forum on
Thursday, Nov. 2 at Centennial Theater.

The topic will be Menopause, Heart Disease and
Nutrition.

Speakers include family physician Dr. Suzanne
Montemuro, cardiologist Dr Margaret Blackwell, cardiologist
and registered nutritionist Ramona Josephson, RDN.

The previous forums have been on the topics of:
HB menopause and osteoporosis;
@ male menopause and mid-life sexuality;
@ early menopause and mood disturbances.

The Nov. 2 forum is slated to include the latest intorma-
tion about:
B how to handle the signs and symptoms of menopause;
B signs and symptoms of heart disease in women;
@ the latest research on hormone replacement therapy and
" heart disease
~ Bi why the midlife weight gain;
8 nutrition guidelines for midlife and beyond.

The forum is a NSMIC fundraiser that runs from 6:30 to
9:30 p.m. The cost is $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and
groups of 10.
