Shipp and Son Ltd. ' The Shipp company will also build the first version of the house to be offered for sale, on a site in the western Toronto suburbs. A scale model of the home —was~ recently ‘unveiled to press, radio, ‘television and magazine representatives. In addition to the domed, circular enter- tainment area, there is an arc-shaped “quiet zone” accommodating the bed- rooms. This is connected to the domed section by an enclosed bridge or passage-way which: also serves as the foyer and family room. Why circular rooms? “It’s a rebellion,” says architect Kohl. “I am rebelling against the monotony of conven- tion, so Pm moving into a circle. e Living In Circles “The circle is sheer delight.
