Provincial grant money only goes so far, so now the gang at Handsworth is taking it upon themselves to raise the $250,000 they need to purchase the new gear. On Saturday, Nov. 6, the school held a special fundraising Construction Zone Party complete with live auc- tion, muste, food and tun. Handsworth’s impressive jazz band was there and there were lots of prizes and goodies to keep the crowd happy.
