A group of residents who believe they will be affect-
ed by the Montroyal connector demonstrated in’ Lynn
Valley Mall on Saturday, Aug. 1°° They. tried to con-
vince shoppers that the district‘nwo ‘a plan to build a
_ multi-million dollar highway across the top of North
". Vancouver, claiming this highway would link Capilano
Road to Deep Cove, with major bridges spanning Lynn
Creek and the Seymour River. :

Members: of district council’ contacted ‘have. no
knowledge of such a plan. District stalf have confirmed
that they too know. nothing about. it,.and suggested I
contact:the Ministry of Highways in Victoria. | did so.
but the. new: highway is also a mystery “10 them.
Evidently, this so-called plan exists only in.the fertile
