Christine Trevitt, said her
daughter Jennifer was

playing in the park at about 8
p.m., when a dog broke free
from the teenage girl holding
it and attacked = her
daughter.

‘It grabbed her hip and
wouldn't let go,’ she said.

Trevitt said the dog was a
cross between a German
Shepherd and a Dobermann,
and was told by the RCMP
that the breed of dog was
particulary vicious.

When she took her
daughter to Lions Gate
Hospital, Trevitt said she

was told there have been a
rash of dog biting incidents
recently.

Trevitt, who is a pre-
