The number one North Shore team won four out of their five matches in Surrey June 4 and 5, their one loss to the team which captured first place -- Prince of Wales. Defending champions Hillside managed a fifth place finish out of the 16 schools competing. On the first day of play Sentinel won all three games in its section’s round robin play, defeating Brittania 10- 1, Glennlyon/Norfolk 9-2 and Abbotsford 10-1. Hillside defeated New Westminster 9-2 and Semiahmoo 7-4, but was edged by John Oliver 6-5. On the Saturday, play was SECTION *AUTO °TV Sentinel No. 4 in B.C. cut short duc to rain. Instead of the regular 11 matches, play continued only until one team had won four. Sentinel lost to Prince of Wales 4-1 in their first match of the day, but came back later with a 4-0 knockout of Penticton and a high finish.
