CLEARING OUT THE MAILBAG I'm off to Argentina so it’s about time to clear out the mailbag. I must be do- ing something wrong — haven’t had any hate mail for ages! First of all, there are a few requests that I can’t do much about. If any of you readers can lend a hand, let me know. The first was a request for information concerning wind surfing. The gentleman is intending to go to Belize where he has been told that conditions are favorable and the living expenses are reasonable. He wants to know if any other area in the world is a better bet. Send copies to everyone involved the travel agent, the hotel, the restaurant, Consul of the country in Ottawa, any Tips from the tourist trade tourist bureau operated by the country locally, the airline, any newspaper or radio station that you feel might be interested and even your M.P. if it makes you feel better. 3. Make sure that everyone who receives your letter knows just, who else has been given the oppor- tunity to share your misery by mail. 4. Wait a while and follow up -with another letter, detailing how the matter has been handled by everyone else on the list. Some countries take a real interest in the care and con- sideration extended to tourists. Others couldn't care less. One thing for sure, no-one will ever know if you don't holler.
