TWO MALES aroused
suspicions when they knock-
ed on doors in the Delbrook
area asking for directions to
Lynn Valley.

Several neighborhood res-
idents thought it suspicious
and called North Vancouver
RCMP around 9:30 p.m.
Sunday evening.

While police attempted to
locate the the two men,
RCMP received a report of a
break and enter in the area.

Police located the two
males in the vicinity, but see-

Irons explained.

One male was captured a
short distance from the
scene, while the other man
evaded police for several
hours, but was apprehended
nearby shortly after mid-
night.

A large amount of cash

and jewelry were recovered

from the two, and one of the
males was found with drugs,
Irons said. :

The knocking on doors
asking for directions is often
just a pretext, Irons explain-
ed, for thieves to find a
house with no one home.

Charges are pending
against two Vancouver resi-
dents, one in his 20s the
other in his 30s,
