Thieves dash potters’ hopes JUST AS North Vancouver potters George Matheson and Nick Meissner were feeling good about having gol enough stock together to go into business, luck turned against them. They had spent the past few months making por- celain teaware in the old construction trailer behind Meissner’s home at 1059 McNaughton Crescent in North Vancouver By the end of they had more preces oof hand painted porcelain which they had been busy turning out since Christmas The last week than 100 pleces represented their opportunity to break oul of the ramshackle surroundings they had used to start off their venture, by providing the Start-up capital for them to become commercial potters Their facilites were so cramped that the potters had packed up the 20 teapots, 60 mugs. 10 tea canmisters and vanous other pieces into boxes and lett them in a panel truck next to” the trailer, ready to deliver to stores which had orders.
