Shore 59 per cent of. the
respondents with a firm opi-
' nion supported the goyern-
ment’s.. restraint policy in
principle, while 41 per cent
opposed it in principle.

Among the supporters,
however, only three per cent
thought the methods of
implementing the policy
were not tough enough, as
against 54 per cent who said
they were’ -too tough.
